CORONATION STREET'S KIT GREEN'S REAL PLAN FOR BERNIE EXPOSED IN DEVASTATING TWIST

Coronation Street revealed what Kit Green's plan was for Bernie Winter, sparking devastating scenes on Monday night.

Bernie learned the hard way that she had been set up by her long-lost son Kit, weeks on from them reuniting after decades apart. Kit could not forgive Bernie, but soon claimed the loss of his adoptive mother made him change his mind.

Viewers had seen Kit acting suspiciously last week just as he told Bernie he wanted to get to know his secret siblings Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman. He claimed he was ready to give her a chance, making her think they could be a family.

But after telling his mum that he wanted them to break the news to Gemma and Paul together, arranging a meet-up, he went behind her back. He raced over to Paul's flat and got the twins alone, before telling them his real identity.

He explained he was adopted as a baby and that Bernie had lied about his existence, and that they almost met years ago only for Bernie not to show up. He shared his hurt over Bernie abandoning him, and wanted them to know his side of the story.

Gemma and Paul could not believe it or their mum's latest drama. Bernie was horrified when she showed up at the flat and saw them together, after Kit failed to meet her.

It's then that Kit's true plan all along was revealed, as we saw him watch the drama unfold. Kit had deliberately told Bernie to meet them at the pub at a certain time so she was nowhere near flat, and he could spill the beans.

He was able to get what he had to say out there without Bernie stopping him, exposing her to her other children in the hopes of causing chaos. He then watched as Gemma and Paul confronted their mum, as he claimed she was happy to abandon him as a kid.

Things got heated and Bernie threw something at her son, with her relationship with all of her kids now at risk. Later in the episode Bernie was reeling, as Kit walked up to her and called her "scum", as he boasted about his plan for her succeeding - but can she get them all back on side?
