LOVE ISLAND FANS SPOT MOMENT JESS WHITE IS CAUGHT ON CAMERA 'SMIRKING' OVER HARRIET'S TORMENT

There's always plenty of drama in the Love Island villa and this year's series is shaping up to be one of the most action-packed. From love triangles to tense recouplings, there's been a lot happening on the dating show.

In Wednesday's (26 June) episode, a game of Never Have I Ever proved to be especially awkward, as Ciaran decided to voice his thoughts about Harriet. He branded her "two-faced" as he spoke out about comments allegedly made about him behind his back by Harriet to Nicole.

Harriet fired back by calling Ciaran "immature" and he responded by saying she's been "second choice like three times in here", referring to her failed romances with himself and Ronnie. The Islanders were stunned by his words, aside from Jess, who fans claim was 'smirking' throughout the exchange.

Fans took to social media to point out Jess' reaction, with some branding her "nasty". One person wrote on X: "Jess laughing at Ciaran's nasty comments to Harriet. Yeah she's a nasty b***h #loveisland".

"The way Jess was sniggering, adding spiteful comments and showing no empathy even though Harriet was crying. What a nasty piece of work. Definition of a mean girl right there. #loveisland," a second wrote. A third Love Island fan added: "jess is not a girls girl at all, and she's so nasty to harriet. #loveisland".

Harriet and Jess haven't got along well in the Love Island villa after being involved in a love triangle with Ronnie. Jess was coupled up with him originally, but he soon began pursuing Harriet and tension rose between the two girls.

Spoilers for Thursday's (27 June) episode show the fallout from Harriet and Ciaran's row, with Harriet crying over his comments. The girls flock to comfort her, but Ciaran isn't keen on apologising.

Away from the group Harriett tearfully asks Matilda: “Why has he just embarrassed me?” Grace tells her: “This is your journey and it’s fine that it’s been this way. Ronnie straight away was like ‘No, she’s the first option.’”

Ronnie also then comes over to check on Harriett and insists: “There’s no-one in this world that should make you cry. You’re here having the best experience ever and you’re going to shed a tear over what? Nothing. So just keep being you and stop crying.”

Meanwhile, Ciaran, still at the fire pit, tells the other Islanders: “She said her piece, I said my piece, leave it.” Later on, speaking privately to his current partner Nicole, Ciaran adds: “I said what I meant, I’m not apologising for it."
