GEMMA COLLINS SPARKS DRAMA WITH POLITICS POST AS SHE ATTEMPTS TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO VOTE

Tensions ran high on Instagram as Gemma Collins tried to encourage her 2.2 million followers to head to the polls.

Brits are keeping their polling cards close this Thursday, July 4, 2024, as a total of 650 parliamentary constituencies are being contested across the UK in the General Election. Stations opened at 7 am and will close at 10 pm, with results set to be revealed during the course of Friday, July 5.

Faced with the important date, Gemma Collins - who recently opened up about her life with urinary incontinence - took to Instagram ahead of the election as she wrote an urgent message for her millions of followers, which featured alongside the picture of a sign advocating to "keep cash alive."

"EVERYONE PLEASE PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE TOMORROW IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO MAKE THE TIME feel free to share who you are voting for !!!", the TOWIE star penned.

Unfortunately, her message was quickly overshadowed by a huge conflict in the comment section as multiple followers boldly affirmed they supported Nigel Farage's Reform UK.

"Reform. Already posted my vote last week. Might as well lick your finger, point it in the air and see which way the wind blows as they all promise the world and don’t deliver…. However, serious change needs to happen rapidly in the UK and if ‘Reform’ can “Reform” the UK...", one fan said, adding a string of applause emoji.

Another echoed: "Reform is the only way now ! We’ve all had enough", just as third chimed in: "Reform for a safer country."

Numerous Instagram users jumped in as they called out Reform UK voters in a dismayed frenzy. "Reform?? I prefer to have the NHS!", a fan commented. Another targeted Gemma Collins directly: "So disappointing to see so many reform voters in your comments."

One individual lamented: "Vote reform of you want to destroy the world, they don't believe in climate change and won't be funding any research etc."

Another seemed defeated as they wrote: "Damn this is a depressing comments section", just as one follower argued: "All these saying reform can say goodbye to ur NHS !"

An enthused fan, on the other hand, decided to react with a confession: "Gemma Collins FOR PM. I will definitely be voting tomorrow but I'm still deciding who to vote for. You're so right though Gem it's very important that we exercise our right to vote as we're lucky to have one. I love you always." One follower humorously agreed: "GC is my prime minister."
