NEW JAY SLATER CLUES AS IT'S CLAIMED HE LEFT MYSTERY HOUSE IN WRONG DIRECTION

Jay Slater remains missing after eleven days - despite evolving information about his movements.

Jay, 19, was staying in Tenerife's popular Los Cristianos resort, sharing an apartment at the three-star Paloma Beach complex with pals Brad Hargreaves and Lucy Mae Law. On Sunday, June 20 he attended the final night of the NRG music festival at Papagayo beach club in nearby Playa De Las Americas, the best known party town on the island.

Pictures and video of the apprentice bricklayer show him on the dancefloor with sunglasses on his head, sometimes wearing a grey t-shirt with green detailing and sometimes with his shirt off. A black bag with thick straps is on his shoulders at times.

When the event finished, Jay's pals returned to their accommodation - but he had other ideas. The teenager instead headed to remote hillside tourist spot of Masca, an hour's drive away from the festival venue, with two men.

The landlady of the property the tourists - believed to be from Luton - were renting for 40 Euros a night described them as being significantly older than Jay - one in his 40s and the other a bit younger. "One is known by the nickname Johnny Vegas," said a pal of the missing teen.

Jay confirmed he was at the property at 7.30am by uploading a blurry photo of him holding a cigarette to his Snapchat with tiles in the background matching the home's entrance. The landlady of the accommodation says she spoke to the teenager at a nearby bus stop at 8am but just ten minutes later, spotted him walking up a steep road away from the village.

Jay could have paid just one Euro to head back on a bus to his resort within an hour or two of his last known sighting. Instead Lucy says she received call from her friend at 8.15am in which he said he was lost, thirsty and his phone was running out of battery. Her pal, she says, had cut his leg on a cactus. The missing man's phone cut out at 8.50am and he hasn't been seen since.

Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancs, told Lucy he was trying to head back to his own holiday home - some 25 miles away - but in reality he set off on a road north of the village of Masca, in the opposite direction to Los Christianos and his hotel.

The men the teenager headed back to Masca with are said to have cut short their stay, heading back to England soon after they were quizzed by local police. As the search for missing Jay enters its eleventh day, his family are hoping for news to relieve them of their torment.
