EAGLE-EYED LOVE ISLAND FANS SPOT NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN CASA AMOR TWIST

Love Island fans, we've reached the end of this year's infamous Casa Amor stint; however, it has anything but reached its climax.

As usual, Sunday saw the girls and boys separated into two villas. The boys were joined by six gorgeous girls in the main villa while the girls snuck away to Casa Amor and were joined by six hunky new guys.

It's the ultimate test of love and loyalty: Will they have unwavering loyalty to their partners, will their heads turn instantly, or will they second guess their partner's loyalty and couple up with someone else for safety?

The Casa Amor recoupling will take place on Thursday and it promises to be a dramatic one as more than a few bombshells are the Islanders' type on paper.

Typically, the ratio sees six OG boys to six new girls and six OG girls to six new boys, but this year eagle-eyed fans have noticed a never-before-seen twist!

There are actually 14 OG boys and girls mixed in with the 14 new bombshells. In the typical nighttime montage, fans spotted Ciaran was sleeping in a bed by himself while his fellow Islanders paired up to enjoy a cuddle in six other beds.

There's no solid theory as to why this has happened, but Love Island producers always have a plan up their sleeves so we're excited to find out what it is!

One TikTok user theorised: 'I think it's cause when Trey and Jessy had to steal an Islander the producers expected there'd be two single Islanders who would've been dumped leaving six boys and six girls.'

Another penned: 'I noticed this straight away! I wonder why the numbers don't match up?'

Whatever the reason, we're on the edge of our seats waiting for the chaos once host Maya Jama struts her stuff through the doors of the main villa.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and the Virgin Media Player.
