THE BEAR STARRING JEREMY ALLEN WHITE AND AYO EDEBIRI COOKS IN THE RATINGS FOR SEASON THREE PREMIERE WITH 5.4 MILLION IN ITS INITIAL FOUR-DAY RUN ON HULU

The Bear debuted to its highest numbers ever for its third season.

The show, which is produced by FX, racked up more than 5.4 million worldwide views in its initial four days of streaming, Hulu announced on Monday, according to The Hollywood Reporter

The dramatic comedy, which received strong feedback on social media following the debut of season three, had its best numbers since its debut in 2022 when it began streaming on Hulu June 27.

The series, which was created by Christopher Storer, stars Jeremy Allen White in the role of Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto and Ayo Edebiri as Sydney Adamu.

The cast also includes Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Edwin Lee Gibson, Matty Matheson, Corey Hendrix and Oliver Platt.

The 5.4 million total represents full showings of the 36-minute-long debut episode, which is titled Tomorrow, according to the outlet.

The total marks a 24 percent spike since the show's June 2023 season two debut, which had around 4.35 million views.

It represents a highwater mark for the show over a span of four days, as well as Hulu's most-ever for an FX season debut or scripted series, according to THR.

Hulu said that the show's ratings were the third-highest for an original season premiere.

Outside of the U.S., the series can be seen on the Disney+ streaming service.

The Bear has gained momentum over the past few years, as its second season was in the Nielsen Top 10 for a five-week span in June of 2023.

The series also saw a spike in ratings following a stellar showing at January's Emmy awards.

The honors included Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for White, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Edebiri and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Moss-Bachrach.

The show was also named Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes earlier this year, with Edebiri and White winning their respective categories.

Edebiri won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy, while White won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy at the high-profile award show.

The storyline of season three sees Carmy as he works to navigate the transition of his beef shop into a fine dining establishment, and his relationships with his peers.
