EASTENDERS' MITCHELL FAMILY TORN APART BY DEVASTATING DEATH SECRET IN NEW TWIST

The Mitchell clan in EastEnders has seen a recent expansion as Billy Mitchell was joyfully reunited with his long-lost brother Teddy. However, it seems there's trouble brewing in the upcoming episodes.

The reunion of the siblings occurred when Stevie Mitchell ended up in hospital after Will Mitchell pushed him over during an argument. Teddy paid a visit to his father at Walford General before heading back to the Square to familiarise himself with the local area and his newfound family.

Since then, Teddy and his two sons, Harry and Barney, have settled into life in the Square, seemingly winning over the family patriarch, Phil.

In a recent scene, Stevie revealed to his sons that Teddy was the result of a brief affair, but Teddy quickly questioned his father about his dishonesty.

In the forthcoming episodes of EastEnders, the Mitchells gather for a celebration as Billy plans a surprise party for Stevie at The Vic, reports the Daily Star.

Billy explains to his son Will that Stevie and his long-lost mother, Val, share the same birthday. However, he admits that he has no clue about his mother's whereabouts.

Meanwhile, at the cafe, Teddy confronts Stevie and sternly warns him to stop lying. After overhearing them discussing a secret they're keeping from Billy, Phil becomes curious and enlists the help of his trusted lawyer Ritchie to investigate.

Later at The Vic, Stevie is thrilled by the efforts Billy and Will have made for the party, prompting Billy to deliver a heartfelt speech about his father and send well wishes to his mother, wherever she may be.

However, Phil soon arrives and takes Stevie aside to present the evidence that Ritchie has unearthed about him, which is far from positive.

Upon returning to No. 18, Stevie admits to Billy that his mother is no longer alive, with Teddy witnessing the confession.

Stevie recounts the heartbreaking tale of Val's demise to his stunned sons, Billy and Teddy, before making a significant decision.

This revelation sends shockwaves through Billy, who, feeling like a shattered man, confides in his cousin Phil, who advises him to understand who Stevie truly is. Later on, Teddy encourages Billy not to let this disclosure ruin their relationship.

Could Stevie's deception spell the end of his relationship with Billy?

These EastEnders scenes air from Monday, July 8 on BBC One and iPlayer
