ANDREA BOCELLI, 65, PERFORMS AN EMOTIONAL SONG WITH HIS DAUGHTER VIRGINIA, 12, AHEAD OF HYDE PARK SHOW

Andrea Bocelli performed an emotional Italian song with his daughter Virginia on Wednesday ahead of his Hyde Park show.

The Italian tenor, 65, will take over the iconic annual festival presented by American Express, which will run from June 29 to July 14, and joined the Loose Women panel to discuss his upcoming concert.

Joined by his youngest Virginia, 12, the father-daughter duo closed out the ITV show with a rendition of Bambina Mia.

Recalling the first time she sang alongside her dad, Virginia said: 'I think the first time was when I was 8-years-old in Palma.

'I wasn't supposed to sing. I'm not sure how it happened.'

Andrea added: 'I had to sing Hallelujah and it has a lot of english words so I asked Virginia to learn the song to sing it with me.'

Explaining Bambina Mia, Virginia said: 'The song is about a dad who is talking to his daughter about life and love.

'I got emotional when I was recording it, it took a long time to record it because I  was bawling then my dad noticed and made fun of me.'

Ahead of his show on Friday, Andrea continued: 'It was a dream come true for me to finally play Hyde Park.'

The international superstar will be joined by UK's most in-demand orchestra The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by talented Michele Spotti.

The conductor, 31, has been Musical Director of Marseille's Opera House and Philharmonic Orchestra since 2023.

Compered by TV favourite Myleene Klass, the incredible festival day will also see performances by the likes of Nadine Sierra, Isabel Leonard, Luca Micheletti as well as a choir by Crouch End Festival Chorus.

He brings together some of the most talented opera performs, who will be gracing Hyde Park's stage.

The father-of-three shares Amos, 29, and Matteo, 26, with his first wife, Enrica Cenzatti, and Virginia with his now-wife, Veronica Berti.

Andrea made a surprise appearance at Oscars 2024 where he gave a touching performance during the In Memoriam segment with his son.

The superstar Italian tenor was joined by Matteo as they sang his classic 'Time to Say Goodbye' together and honoured a number of late stars who died in the last year.

Both Matteo and Virginia joined their father for his album, A Family Christmas, which features a whole host of festive favourites with the singer gushing 'there's nothing more beautiful than making music with your kids'.
